I have never voted for an election before, not belong to any party.

When I moved to Fairfax County Virginia in late 2014, I registered to be a vote. Now it has been more than 2 years, do I need to do anything before November election? The residential address is still same, do I need to notify Fairfax County election board that I will vote in November (any registration process)? Or I just come to vote? Are they send me a voting card(based on current voter database) before November?

The reason I am asking is: I don't want to miss any deadline for registration, if there is a need to do so.

Thanks.

Go here: https://vote.elections.virginia.gov/VoterInformation

Enter your information and it will tell you if you are still registered. Normally if you voted in the primaries you are automatically 'active' for the general. But after 2 years it's possible that you need to re-update your info. But check on the site. If it says, you're good to go, then youre fine. If it doesn't say that, or show anything, send another voter registration to your voter registration website.

Also, make sure to bring a valid, current photo ID (Drivers License) to the polling place. You will not be able to vote without it. Your Voter ID Card is not enough.

Congratulations on planning to be active in the voting process.

You don't need a separate voter ID card anyway. If you are registered to vote (check the above website) all need to do is show up with your driver's license. The workers will have your name on their list of registered voters at your polling place.
