I know that there's a bunch of lists on places to watch fireworks in the NoVA area, but they tend to just list the bigger draws (National Mall, Mt. Vernon, Fairfax H.S.) etc and not the smaller and more accessible ones.

The one that I've been going to in the past couple of years is the fireworks at International Country Club in Chantilly, which were surprisingly good. Decent parking in the Greenbriar shopping center or the surrounding street parking, and walk across to sit on the CC's lawn (not sure if they really allow it but lots of people do it) or even on the sidewalk of Route 50.

Another one that I've gone to in the past was at Lee District Park, in the big field near the baseball and soccer field. It tends to be too crowded, though.

Does anyone have any other recommendations to share for shows this year?

I'm hoping for a another good display of fireworks at the unofficial show on Lake Thoreau in Reston. See photo in this real estate listing for an example.

Best place to watch is from a boat on Lake Thoreau. Second best place is from the walkway on the dam (South Lakes Drive just west of South Lakes Shopping Center).
