Maybe you should go to Middleburg. Four nice white tablecloth places plus a half dozen more casual places with great food. For a tiny village, not a bad ratio.

I have not been in over a decade. It used to be a nice day trip for me but now I would rather not deal with the traffic. Good info though.

It was defeated, but not by a huge margin -- 55% no, to 45% yes (last I read). I'll expect another property tax bump next spring.

I guess I can be glad to move from the county to the lower property tax rate in City of Fairfax.

They may have put it off perhaps a year. We'll see! Chair Bulova said something about working with the revenue that they have, so maybe we have a few years yet before another hike. If they take this as referendum signaling that the electorate cannot and will not sustain another tax hike of any kind, than we have some time.

Likely not going to actually hike the rate; they'll just keep upping your value for more money.
