I am looking at a home to rent in the Daventry area and it seems very nice. Any opinions on the aera? Would appreciate any info. Have small children so the Lee High School issue is not an issue for us.

Good location, well managed development. In West Springfield, but barely.
The parkway has really eased congestion on Keene Mill Rd. How much are they asking? I just looked at the assessments the other day, and a townhouse in there is assessed at 409,000. They were going for 175K in 1999. I would give the construction about a B-. The defective plywood in the roofs was replaced a long time ago, I can't say the same for the floors.

Thanks for you input. They are asking 2500 a month for a 2600sq ft end th. It is very very nice and does have a new kitchen and baths. Very well taken care of, there have been alot of upgrades. No th in front or back which is also nice. Both the es school and ms are stellar which is important to us. Just wondering others thoughts on the area.

I think you could get a SFH for about 2000 in WS. 2500 seems a bit high. Cardinal Square is pretty nice, right across OKM. Smaller, but less money--same schools, amd natuaral gas is included in your landlords condo fee. Only 144 units; so it doesn't back up as bad getting out in the AM.

$2500 seems high. I have a SFH I rent out in Springfield (22153) for that same price. It has 4 bdrm, 3.5 bth, granite, hdwd fl. So you could get something definitely bigger or another TH just as nice for less rent. I would keep looking around. You're bound to find a better deal. Good luck!
