I'm in Alexandria and was wondering what are good places to hang out and, preferably, meet people in the area who might be considered millennials? (35 and under crowd, let's say)

Casual social, dating, whatever. I understand that Arlington has big millennial population, but I've never really checked out the hot spots.

Some Hot spots are the Clarendon Ballroom, and around the World of Beer bar in Ballston. You have plenty of options along Wilson Blvd. I would also highly recommend checking into social sports leagues as well as the Alexandrla/Arlington sheniagans meetup group.

Clarendon is going to be mostly 25 and under. A couple blocks south of Dupont Circle (like 18-19&M) is bar crawl central. In DC you also have U and H Sts with lots of bars.

If you want to meets lots of millenials I definitely recommend the kickball/flag football/etc leagues that play on the National Mall (USS Sports, Play Nakid, etc).

Oh, meetup group! Hopefully they'll have some stuff in Old Town (which is most convenient for me even if other places are options)

They definitely have a lot of OTA events, in fact they are doing a Karoke event tomorrow in OT.

Old Town tends to skew a bit older overall, but I'd try Blackwall Hitch, Virtue Feed & Grain down by the river, and Lighthorse Tavern higher up on King Street. Check out the Alexandria City webpage, sometimes there's group yoga or Zumba on the circle by the Patent Office.

Depends a lot on what kind of scene youre into. Not many options in Old Town for millinieals but I would definitely try Don Taco on King Street. Theres Mason Social but it has pretty bad reviews and Ive never tried it.

In Clarendon, there are bunch of places like Don Tito's, Liberty Tavern, Spider Kellys, Osullivans, and Clarendon Ballroom. That's like the dbag/preppy crowd that Im not a big fan of.

If you're more into the hipster scene, there's Iota and Galaxy Hut in Clarendon as well as Jackpot in Chinatown DC (only go to Galaxy Hut if you're into craft beer though - no light beers or liquor).

I've been to a lot of these places like Don Taco, Blackwall, and Virtue. I'd definitely hang out with someone there, but guess I'm not doing so at the right times and/or really need to do so at events/meetups ^^

How we know you aren't a Millenial. Facebook is a place for your grandparents. The cool kids are using apps you haven't even heard of yet
