Hello ,

We are looking to move to NoVA and husband's office is located in Manassas and Culpeper and he would be shuttling between the 2. I would be looking to work in the Herndon/Reston/McLean area. We have 2 kids 9 and 5. We think SouthRiding/Aldie would be the best option. Any suggestions if we can look into any other location. Its been more than 4 yrs now since we moved to AZ from VA. I know things have changed a lot there. My main concern would be the schools.
Any suggestions would help us a lot before we move.

Thanks for your time!

You should be able to find smaller townhomes in the South Riding/Stone Ridge areas towards the higher end of that range.

We lived in this model in South Riding and paid $2200 a few years ago. If this is $2100, that is a good deal.

By comparison one like this is slightly smaller and about in range with normal rentals in the area.

You can probably find homes in Stone Ridge (Aldie) for slightly cheaper as it is a little further west (a few miles) and therefore adding 10-15 minutes to commutes

Thank you PGEMF for your inputs. Any info about the schools in this area? I have 2 kids who will be starting 4th grade and Kindergarten. So having this info would help me to look for schools around this area.

South Riding/Aldie area schools are excellent. My kids are there and love it.
