So, figured we've got a few iPhone people here - I know Apple Care covers things like a cracked screen. But....how about if someone's wife drove off this morning with her fancy iPhone on the back of her car AGAIN, and the neighbor found it in the middle of the street.......right after the trash collection truck ran the damn thing over? Think Apple Care would fix that?

Saturday is my 11th wedding anniversary. I'm thinking a nice pink Motorola Razr via the collection bin in the basement for an anniversary present, tied to a brick and covered in bubble wrap.

I don't think Apple Care can fix your wife. I didn't see that on any list of services they provide.

I suggest insurance being included with the next phone.

Standard AppleCare probably not - I believe AppleCare+ will cover 2 incidents of accidental damage (but you have to pay a deductible). You can purchase the AppleCare+ for the phone up until the normal AppleCare expires (which is the 1 year mark).

Yep, you can count on AppleCare+ from now on! New phone being delivered today...

I'm impressed, considering it flew off the back of a moving vehicle, no case, and was run over by a 10 ton garbage truck. Still rings, still beams it's location, basically other than the glass and actual screen itself being toast, it still works.
