Hello. I am divorced and in my early 50s. May take job in Rosslyn near Metro. Looking for best neighborhoods to look for 2BR apartments. Willing to pay $3000 per month if have to. Want conveniences of restaurants, shopping, etc. Want to be close to DC but don't want to live in DC. Schools unimportant. Want a place with some nightlife but don't want to be oldest person there as I hear I might be in some neighborhoods. Thanks.

Old Town Alexandria.

The Del Ray neighborhood in Alexandria may also work for you.

My two suggestions stand.

Maybe Shirlington if you don't need to be on the Metro.

Agree. The IO Piazza is nice.

There are also nice condo buildings with older (relative to "bros") demographics or a mix, near the Ballston metro, and some owners may rent their units.

I agree with all the suggestions so far with Shirlington being my preferred choice. Falls Church City would be a contender too but it swings to families but Clare and Don's Beach Shack and JV's would swing older for going out.

Anywhere on Reston Town Center would be good but it is out there. Also check out Bethesda, MD.
