Hello,
My son will be going to daycare in November, when he'll be 4 months. We need part-time care but we are willing to pay for full-time, since we can't do set days.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Would like to keep the cost around $1200.

We did look at Minnieland in Lake Ridge and I felt pretty OK about it, but felt rushed and can't find any reviews online. Minnieland has had some...issues in the past.

Thank you!

I think it is called Prestige Academy on Prince William Pkwy, near govt ctr across from Ruby Tuesday. Brand new facility.

Good luck finding full time under $300 a week ($1300 a month) for an infant. Most will be more. If you can arrange your schedule for a fixed part time, that would definitely help you. Or, ask if they are flexible on the days of the week. Most will say no, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

I use Prestige. They are good with great facilities but a little over $1350 a month which is "normal" but still hurts my pocket. If you don't have a personal recommendation for a smaller facility, I thought this was the best run operation in the area that wasn't drastically more expensive or in as convenient of a location. I heard Minnieland is not THAT bad, but I just didn't want to chance it. Good luck in your searches!

Is Minnieland of Lakeridge different than Minnieland of Woodbridge?

Yes. Minnieland in Lake Ridge (I think they say they're at The Glen) is the one that had the lawsuit you referenced.

Minnieland then has a location off Minnieville, and IIRC another location over in Rippon Landing. So technically all three locations are Woodbridge, but only The Glen one is in Lake Ridge

It's been a while since my kids were in daycare; however, back then I tried to use Minnieland a few times. I was *never* impressed with them. It's a shame because some of their locations were very convenient for me but they ALWAYS had a very high turnover of employees and I was never impressed with the quality of the personnel they hired.

I ended up using Kindercare and La Petite here and there, which was better. I finally ended up at a place (it was across from Home Depot and near El Pollo Rico). At the time it was called Wonders of Wisdom. The facility was old and kind of run down (but safe) and I think that probably turned some people off. By my kids had the same caregivers there for over 4 years each. We were so lucky. It was owned by an older couple who had another location in Manassas. The place is still there but has a new name. Not sure if it's the same people that even own it so I couldn't vouch for it.

I mainly wanted to chime in that Minnieland (several locations) never really worked out for us.

Overall, I wish I had been able to find in-home care but that was pretty hard with an infant.
