My cousin Kathleen lost her beloved cat.
She would be somewhere near Potomac Hills Dr. in Stafford VA.

Tell your cousin to keep a sharp eye on the shelters and to go out after dark when it's quiet and call her cat. Check the area. If people have garages and sheds, ask them to check in there for her.

Good luck and keep us posted!

Also, not sure if your sister is on Facebook, but I get a lot of posts in my feed from local shelter pages who will post for lost pets. She may be able to get a Stafford animal shelter or group to post a lost pet post on Facebook for her and it will reach all the animal lovers subscribed to them in Stafford.

I agree - FB is a good place to post and have friends share.

Tell her to put the litter box outside. Cats can smell it and will come home if nearby.

Thank you everyone for your advice and suggestions.

Unfortunately my cousin does not go on the internet (crazy right?)
I have taken the task of posting on different Facebook groups, websites, lost and found pages and such. She is taking up the in person search at her home/community. She has contacted different shelters and breeders. She is now going to put the litter box, food and kitty bed outside (under shelter) in case her cat finds its way back home.
She recently informed me that her brother was the one who let the cat out and it is possible that he drove it somewhere and let it out. It is sad when one persona hateful actions can put another life in danger.

That's terrible. Perhaps she should drive the brother someplace and leave him.
