My son is now a second grade home-schooler but we plan to have him going back to public school in the next 1 or 2 years. He is eligible for AAP and we are thinking about AAP centers - Willow Springs Elementary or Canterbury Woods Elementary. Test scores showed that both AAP centers are great academically but I would like to know more apart from the scores.
Does anyone had firsthand experience of these two AAP centers? I'm interested in the following aspects for either school:
1) AAP class size
2) average time needed for homework
3) do you think the school promotes creativity and critical thinking
4) do students have enough time for physical activities (non-competitive)
5) any complaints about too much tests or competitions among students

I'd appreciate your input. Thank you in advance!

Are you allowed to pupil place into an AAP center? Which one does your base elementary school feed into?

He is accepted to the AAP Level IV. Our base school is Sangster which is also an AAP center but we are planning to move soon for a shorter commute to work.
Does anyone know or heard of anything about Canterbury woods AAP or Willow Springs AAP?

Can't speak to the specifics of AAP at either school, but the Canterbury Woods area will put you fairly close to Frost MS and Woodson HS. In comparison, the Willow Springs area feeds into Lanier MS (which will be getting a new AAP center in the fall of 2018) and Fairfax HS, neither of which is especially close to the Willow Springs area. This is just a function of how the boundaries are drawn.
