Yep, seriously.

Even with my hot flashes, I don't like my upstairs heat below about 67 degrees (I have very few blankets because no matter what the weight--HOT FLASH). But then the air is too cold.

My house has always been really drafty. It got a bit better after the new windows a few years ago and my new furnace with humidifier does allow me to keep the temperature lower. But if I'm just sitting and watching TV or reading (or teleworking) for a few hours, I get super cold at around 70-71 in the house. My husband does also and he's super in shape, physical type occupation etc.

Like you--my house has yet to drop below 68 on its own. Now maybe last night would have been a different story. My neighbor is in the process of having her furnace changed out so she has no heat right now. Her main level dropped to 63 last night but had been stable at 68 until last night. She has the same house as I do so, yeah, my house hasn't gotten too cold on its own.

I don't have a furnace or heat on the 20th floor in Bangkok. A hot water heater was added by me after 28 years without. Oh, how I miss Manassas.

Yep it's been on. House is set at 67, SO is always cold - of course I'm always hot. Such is life.

Tried to turn on the heat on Saturday. The high efficiency gas furnace wouldn't start. After a bit of troubleshooting, i discovered a wasp nest in the intake pipe for the furnace. Once that was removed, all was good.

Woke up this morning and the thermostat had outside temperate of 35 degrees and inside of 66, so house is starting to cool off, although I think today's sun will warm it right back up. The solar film on our windows doesn't seem to block the heat as advertised (or I can't imagine how warm it would get without it)

Yikes! Glad it was an "easy" problem to fix -- if we could term dealing with a wasp's nest as easy.

I turned the heat on for the first time last night. The temp was 61 degrees in my bedroom.

That's too warm for me but my house isn't insulated well at all - though it does stay a little cooler in the summer which helps w/the bills - it's currently 62 inside (and warmer outside) - thinking this might be an expensive "winter" even though it's not even winter yet - I want autumn back!
