Who in NoVa all still has to go in?
I’m surprised that my spouse’s employer hasn’t called it at least for this week yet.

Today is my first day for telework. DoD employee. Each agency is making their own decisions based on size of buildings, numbers of employees, crowded or non-crowded work space, etc.

My company expanded telework for the virus but I’m going to go in until they make it a requirement to telework. I really do not like telework and plus my job is right next door to a grocery store so I can get needed supplies easily. For the past week, work has been the only reason I’ve left my home and likely it will be that way for a bit.

We had a few people where I am feel the same way as you. Heck, even I'd like to go into the office maybe once a week, but were emphatically told no. We leave the space open/safe for those who *must* go in (such as those working on Classified stuff) and only come in if you have to. I guess they are supporting the distancing aspect of this.

We've been told to TC 3x a week so our team has staggered our schedules so there is always someone in the office in case any work needs hands on support. It's funny we told our managers years ago that we can pull it off and they said no, we want people in the office. Now it takes something like this to implement it. Maybe when after all this stuff blows over, they will be more open to us TC on a larger scale.

Wife works for GMU out in Front Royal and still in the office. She thinks on Friday they'll be told to begin telework next week.

I have been working from home for the last 2 years so nothing has changed for me. My wife now works from home since last week because her company ordered it. We both do IT work, so it doesn't matter where we plug in.

It's just me and my boss anyway, he's technologically illiterate -- still handwrites all his correspondence for me to type up. We are wiping all surfaces with alcohol wipes from the front door latch and buzzer all the way in a couple of times a day and trying to avoid all stops between home and work to minimize contact. We're both in an elevated risk category. Numbers I read say probably 70% of the population will contract the virus before this is over and so fingers crossed we are lucky or get a milder case of it.
