Before we know it, we'll be changing half the names in America. There are connections out there that many don't even realize. And yes, Northern states included.

A very good and accurate quote. But removing a statue or changing a road name, in no way, erases the past atrocities, it only attempts to stop glorifying someone who was part of the atrocities.

Still a part of erasing the past.

Perhaps, they should remove Arlington National Cemetary from the property stolen from the Lee Family.

There used to be a 1950s fill up station at the corner of East St and Sager Ave in Old Town Fairfax. It sold the normal stuff: gas, ice cream, gas. They tore it down to build luxury condos a few years back. By your definition, that’s erasing the past. Sure, it was an old thing that has now been replaced by a new thing, but I bet you people learned about as much from that gas station as they did from an old 1960s statue in a park.

Comparing a statue to a gas station? Come on now.
