US Postal Service, UPS, or FedEx? Any of these have local distribution hub problems currently? TV news media only reports the worst situations such as those in Baltimore. Sending mix of packages to East Coast destinations, but not want first hiccup in process to be the local originating hub. Any first hand recent experience appreciated.

I sent things through the P.O. but I didn't wait until so late to do so and no problems - good luck. Not waiting until last minute unless you want to spend big bucks is the clue.

I would try something other than USPS. I sent a package to Florida priority mail 12/9, it arrived this morning.

If you had already sent your packages instead of posting about it they'd already be on their way?

The major shippers handle hundreds of thousands of packages (if not millions) a day in this area, most arriving ground in 3-5 days as always. You want it to arrive faster pay more to have it shipped 2nd/3rd day air. Literally the busiest shipping week of the entire year (possibly ever with increase in coronavirus shipping)...

That’s not even a guarantee. Last week, I received a package a friend paid 1 day priority USPS for and it took one week to arrive for less than 25 min of driving distance from Chapel Hill, NC to Durham, NC.

Maybe I can still hope...sent mine from NoVA to Hartford (priority) on 12/15. Still isn't there, yet.

I'm putting mine on the roof tonight and hoping they'll be delivered.

Updates on packages sent Fri 12/18 (original post)

- Package to mid NC arrived by UPS Ground next day.
- Local No. VA package 20 miles by USPS arrived next day.
- Package to FL by UPS 2nd Day Air arrived Wed 12/23, after tour of FL from Jacksonville airport to suburb of Miami, then to Orlando, and delivered to mid Atlantic coast. Only one day late, not bad.
- Package to WV by USPS 2-day priority tracking still shows in transit-running late.
