Hello,
I currently live in Leesburg but I have been in the area for quite a long time but for the first time since I have been here I am not going away for Thanksgiving. I have decided to invite my sister and my niece up for the long weekend in an Airbnb I have booked with a full kitchen to heat up meals. My brother and Sister-in-law may stop by for a day over the holiday as well.
I don't plan to cook the Thanksgiving meal instead I plan on buying it to go on Thanksgiving day. I was told that Magnolias of Purcellville does a nice Thanksgiving meal so I called them and left a message as no one answered the phone. They called back to say that there would be a menu on their website by early October.
Well I just checked and they are currently all sold out for the season! I guess I was misinformed.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a Thanksgiving meal ready to eat in the Northern VA area?
It would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I'm not up that way, but in the past when I go to central and eastern VA for Thanksgiving - I don't cook much - my family speaks highly of Harris Teeter, Wegman's. https://www.harristeeter.com/bl/food...-at-home-twist

Cracker Barrel restaurant has a Thanksgiving carry out. We got it one year and it was pretty good.

The website may still have sold out information left over from last year. If they told you that the menu will be on the website in early October, I would take them at their word and just check every day or so.

Another alternative to add to the ones mentioned is Whole Foods. I've done theirs for years. I usually get the uncooked turkey (it comes with all the chopped veg and herbs aromatics) and then a bunch of cooked sides that are ready to heat. But you can also opt for a cooked turkey. It's not cheap of course, but it's really tasty.

I’ll second Cracker Barrel as I’ve done that several times. Also Bob Evans does one too. I’m in Fredericksburg so you need to look up who is close to you. I’ve also heard good things about Wegman’s but more expensive.

It looks like last year, the Thanksgiving promo on their Facebook page posted on October 10, so I wouldn't give up on them. I think it's probably right that the "sold out" web page is an old link (unless you actually phoned them or messaged them and they told you it was sold out)!

https://www.countryliving.com/food-d...-dinner-to-go/ lists multiple alternatives in our area.

Two years ago, I ordered a HoneyBaked Ham Thanksgiving dinner. I chose the pickup option and there was a loooong line waiting and even a Fairfax County squad car to manage it. They sell out fast though. HBH stores also sell various To Go heat up dinners throughout the year and their prices are pretty good, considering. https://www.honeybaked.com/products/...-dinner-pickup. One of the things I really appreciate about ordering HBH meals is that they include a nutrition portal on the online order page. You can further click on any item listed in the portal, so you can check out the calories, sodium, sugar, etc. and exact ingredients for each individual food item. That additional information contains a color-coded checklist for some 20 common dietary restrictions such as gluten, alcohol, nuts, animal products, etc. Very useful if anyone at your dinner table has allergies or dietary restrictions.
