Purcellville is a beautiful area. Where will you be commuting to? What kind of houses are looking for? The taxes will be high. I think if you live within the town limits, there is a city tax also. I'm pretty sure the schools are really good.

If we were going to move further East from where we live now, that's probably where we would move to.

The main street is pretty with old houses, almost like historic Leesburg without the downtown area. There are all the basic services you'll need (grocery store, library, video store, cleaners etc.). Traffic can be a bit of a pain if you're commuting east during regular rush hour traffic, especially if you go through Leesburg on 7. But the Purcellville area is gorgeous and the drive is very pretty too. Very kid friendly and the schools are supposedly good.

schools are good.
It's a very quaint small town. Has good parks and rec and town pool etc...
Has basic shopping (grocery etc...) and a few resturants.
Neighborhoods range from older more historic houses, small farms, to bigger newer developmetns with houses on smaller lots.
VEry pretty area etc...

Leesburg is very close (about 10 minutes) for any major shopping you need...Costco, bestbuy, Super TArget, walmart, the OUtlet Malls etc... Lots of Resturants etc...

Don't have any preschool info.

Traffic can get bad at rush hour getting through Leesburg due to the Bottleneck near rt 15.
