Hi All,

We are moving to Burke on Saturday, near Fairfax Station (off 123). I know that the commute is going to be long, but I only need to be in the office 3x a week. Can anyone recommend the best route from Burke to Tenleytown?

Thanks,
Tara

Ugh! One idea...Burke Lake Road to Braddock Road to the Beltway. Inner Loop up to 123-North. Left at the end and across Chain Bridge and right onto Canal Road. First left onto Arizona Avenue. Up the hill to right on Loughboro Road, which becomes Nebraska Avenue which will take you into Tenleytown. There's also the Nap-or-Read option...take the VRE from Burke to L'Enfant Plaza, switch to Metro and grab the Green or Yellow Line up to Gallery Place, then switch to the Red Line for the ride out to Tenleytown. Neither of these will be too much fun...maybe someone has an ingenious better option in mind...

Wouldn't it be better to take VRE to Union Station and get on the Red Line there? Wouldn't that save some time over transferring to and from the Green/Yellow lines?
