Moving to Herndon VA soon to work for Lockheed Martin. What are your reviews on the town? Is it a nice place to stay? I am looking at apartments and I like Archstone Woodland Park....any reviews on these set of apartments?

If you have any reviews on apartments in the area that won't cost a arm and a leg please let me know. The rent at Archstone is $1170....Im trying to stay in that range. I also need a garage b/c I have a motorcycle.

ALL REPLIES ARE WELCOMED!!!

Thanks

Herndon is an area that is growing in its latino population. Schools are average, but public transportation (bus) is plentiful.

You'll like Lockheed. My husband started his career there. Herndon is just fine.
North Reston might suit you better if you can afford it. Zero commute and a great little area.

Best of luck.

p.s.
The "latino population" is just great. They add much needed diversity to an otherwise white bread area. Sure, there are some small pockets of immigrant areas, but definitely not enough to skew your view of the entire area.
