We are moving with 2 small dogs from Dallas, TX and looking for information about a decent townhome/townhouse rental in the DC/VA/MD nice area. We like going out on weekends and my husband will be working around Dulles Airport and I will be working from home. We are interested in 2 or 3 BR townhouse. We really want high rise but with dogs, we decided it is better to settle for a townhouse. They are used to living in a house with a backyard and would be such a hassel to make them fit in an apartment. I am all ears for all comments.

I checked The Amberleigh apartments website from Rent.com but not sure if it is far out in the suburbs. Do the townhomes in the DC/VA/MD area come with a small fenced yard? Does anyone know?

Budget: 1500-1800/month

Thanks!

It really depends what you are looking for, but as far as anywhere near Dulles I would check out RT. 66 area. Most townhomes have a small fence for the backyard.

Go to HomesDatabase, click on Virginia, click on Loudoun County, select the rental tab at the top, click on 20164, 20165,20166, put in your criteria and you will find 50+ rentals listed up to 1800. Many of the townhouses will have fenced yards, you will have to read the description or call the listing agent to see if they allow pets. Good luck and welcome to VA!

You might check out Dulles Greene. We've lived there for 3 years and they are pretty big for the price and location.
It's really funny, we moved from Plano to here!

They allow dogs and are REALLY close to the airport. We can make it door to door to Dulles in about 10-15 minutes. They have townhouses, and since it's fall they might be in your price range.

We paid about 1100 for a nice 2 bed 2 bath in downtown Plano, and here the same thing was 1300-1500. The cost of living is just higher here.

ETA: These do not have fenced yards! But still very dog friendly.
