After the most recent round of weather, I've noticed I've got roof shingles all over my front and back yards. Accepting it's time to replace the roof, but wondering if anyone could recommend someone, rather than just resorting to the yellow pages. Live in Reston if that matters, but I'm hoping someone can recommend a roofer they've used that is reliable, honest, fairly priced, etc. Thanks in advance.

I was very happy with Pond Roofing Company when I needed to have a new roof on my garage. I called them after seeing what they had done on a friend's house and he recommended them. They offered me several options with different prices. Fixed damaged wood, expertly applied new shingles and cleaned up every scrap.

I don't have any experience with Pond, but judging by the work I've seen from a distance, I would have to agree.

I recently used Peak Roofing (Peak Roofing Contractors, Inc. Northern Virginia). Quick response, very professional and thorough. They returned calls promptly, showed up when scheduled and followed up on their work. I'd definately use them again.

Thank you all. I guess a related line of questioning would be if anyone had a bad experience with any particular company

"AN" Roofing in NoVA did ours, both for our older home that we had to get a roof replacement, and our new home construction. They are excellent.

Not to interrupt, but we need siding repair after Fridays' winds, I called that Peak company. They seem very nice and are coming out Thurs. for an estimate. We had someone out today and I almost fell over when he told us how much!! Seems like they do other jobs also, looking forward to meeting with the owner.

Mpascal - I'll let you know if it's a huge difference and who wanted to overcharge when I get another price.
