I hope this guy is a one-termer and no, I didn't vote for him, but I was quite willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

As for Mark Warner, I have always given him high marks. I always viewed him as very pragmatic, a trait which I attribute to his considerable private sector exprience. When Warner was governor, he actually worked well with a legislature dominated by the other party (something I note that Virginia's current governor does not do well at all), but that's a discussion for another thread.
I too wrote Webb a month or so ago (about Geithner's confirmation) and never received a response. At the time I could not find Warner's contact information. I wrote John Warner several times last year and always received a prompt and courteous response. I too hope Webb's a one termer.

That is correct and I hope I didn't give the impression that I was justifying Webb's actions. Obviously, he hasn't impressed the need of "timely responsiveness" on his staff and they themselves don't take the initiative. Either they are inexperienced on how the Hill works or they (and he) don't see responding to constituents as a priority.

Thanks for the explanation.. when I read the first post, I thought you were taking the responsbility off of Webb and I obviously misunderstood. Thanks again!
