I'm going on Snake patrol with my next door neighbors' cats, cleaning my ol' faithful charcoal grill, transplanting my basil plants into the garden, take a few naps and relax this weekend

We hope to get in some kayaking if the river's safe. But after 1.8 inches of rain yesterday it may be too high and too fast.

We tend to stick close to home during the weekend, and plan our fun stuff for during the week, when we can generally avoid crowds.

So Thursday we went in town to the Museum of Natural History. They have a really nice live butterfly exhibit, and Thursday was our third visit. Our first visit was wonderful, but for some reason we didn't take our cameras! Our second visit we took our cameras, but the exhibit was closed for unexpected repairs. But, the third time's the charm.

Also, the first two visits were on a Tuesday - there's no admission fee on Tuesdays ... and so there were LOTS of people. This time, we went ahead and paid to go in, and were there shortly after the museum was open, and we could spend as long as we liked enjoying and photographing the butterflies.

Here are a few pictures:

We're going to see "Rent" at the Warner Theatre tonight - with some of the original Broadway cast, it's going to be awesome!

Wow, Gene those photos are great! I do like the new exhibits at the Natural History Museum. I didn't know Butterfly World was free on Tuesday, thanks for the tip.

Watching hubby make a mess while putting together his new iMac. Also hoping the water has warmed up at the pool... yeah I'm going to keep telling myself that.
