What I want to know... will this foray into the entertainment biz bring bad habits to the oil change biz? Will Jiffy Lube start adding gratuitous surcharges to your bill like the ticket sellers do?

Maybe they'll work out a special offer for oil changes performed in the parking lot while you watch the concert...

Indeed, they need to lubricate the traffic flow around there!

I once forgot to check their schedule and made a mistake of attempting to go to the Merrifield Garden Center from the Giant at Virginia Gateway - what a mistake that was! Now, when it is the concert season, I always check the schedule if I think I'm going to be needing to go up or down Wellington Road in my travels!

Since it is such an awkward sounding name, maybe people will just call it "The Lube". Can you imagine someone saying, "let's go to The Lube" tonight"???

That is exactly what we used to call "Quaker Steak and Lube" when I was in college in PA! Look it up!

It could be worse. Can you imagine if they had sold the naming rights to Hello Kitty? Or Ben-Gay? Or Playtex--we'd start calling Wellington Road the 24-hour girdle.

Can You Imagine an "I-Cant-Believe-It's-Not-Butter-Pavilion"?

There was a study done a few years ago, and they found out that 75% of the companies who had stadium named actually lost money. (the companies overall lost money, not just the stadium itself) I guess Jiffy Lube thinks they can beat the odds?

Guess so... apparently they think they'll beat it in a Jiffy!
