Unbelievable! I had not heard that, but I live in PWC however don't have any children.

Let's see - anyone want to guess how long the children will be going to school to make up all these days off???

My neighbors, who all have elementary school children, tell me they are going stir crazy as their kids are just driving them nuts, with all the time off from school and nowhere to really go, unlike the summer when they can go to the neighborhood pool, etc. They play outside in the snow, but at this point even that novelty seems to be wearing off!

All I can say is "wow"! Wouldn't a 2 hour delay be enough tomorrow morning. I mean, OK, the roads are probably going to be slick around 8 AM. But by 10 AM I doubt it.

Very bizarre...

Yup, I was thinking maybe a 2 hour delay but they cancelled school instead. I feel bad for all those kids taking AP classes -- the AP test date is not going to change.

Fairfax County has their makeup snow days on their calendar showing June 24th as the last day of school....(this is with 10 snow days possible)

I'm actually shocked that Alexandria schools are closed also. I see no reason to close them tomorrow.

Which is only 2 days past the regularly scheduled end of the school year.

I think it is the thought of students standing in the middle of the streets (no sidewalks/bus stops due to the snow) and the inability of buses getting into the subdivisions. I have heard some of the subdivision roads are really bad in Fairfax.

Oh well, Pr. Wm. closed so I will be shuttling the child back to school if Fairfax remain open tomorrow. He misses it and can't wait to get back to school Pr. Wm. has 15 snow days to use before they need to make anything up so they have used 11 so far.

The snow mounds in the street are going to be around for a long time.

I can attest to some roads being really bad in FFx Co.

I'm confused (sorry) on the "shuttling back to school" part. Does your child go to FFx or PWC?
