Going out of BWI versus National because of ticket costs, non-stop flight, etc. Trying to keep the ride to the airport from negating my savings. I know I can catch an express bus at Greenbelt but not sure how much it would cost.

Anyone taken Amtrak to BWI? Looks like it will cost about 13 bucks. Only about 20 minute ride from there.

If either end of your trip is on a weekday, you could also use the MARC Penn Line to BWI.

I will note a little more than a month ago I flew out of BWI on a Friday morning and wanted to use the MARC Penn Line to BWI. The stupid train was canceled! I didn't have enough time to go to Greenbelt and use the B30 bus, nor did I want to spend $33 for an Amtrak Acela train (the next available train and the only one that would have gotten me to BWI by the time I wanted to get there), so I went home and drove to BWI.

I actually had to go from BWI for a job interviw with Amtrak. The Amtrak was 2 hrs late. I ended up taking marc. There are also cabs around the area and it probably wouldn't be hard to find find a cab share.

It's a pretty easy trip from Union Station on Amtrak or MARC. I've done it, including when I had to reroute to BWI at the last second from Reagan, and made the connections during rush hour, which would have been impossible via automobile.

The B30 Metrobus from Greenbelt Metro station is the cheapest way there. It is reliable, but remember that it has to deal with car traffic on the way there.
