I'm not there and can't watch it (we have DTV), darn you Comcast - but it looks like the Caps got this one.

BTW, born and raised in Pittsburgh and nearby areas, live here now, and there are lots of us. There is plenty of room for fans of all teams, no need to think folks are "jumping on a bandwagon".

Always nice to see the Caps win ... but especially over the Pens.

It was quite a game. Theodore is on an unbelievable streak right now. I don't know how many shoulder saves I saw just in the last few minutes and overtime alone, and rarely do you see any in a game. If he can continue to be in that zone throughout the playoffs, there's just no way the Caps can be beaten in a 7 game series. They might drop one or two, but four games? No way.

The Caps need to continue to focus on discipline, cutting down on silly penalties, but when that is your only real concern heading into the playoffs, you are sitting pretty. Also, Bruce Boudreau has some great instinct. I love how he chooses Mike Knuble, who has never scored in a shoot-out, to go out in sudden-death and Knuble scores the game-winner. A coach knowing that he can trust his instincts is another huge playoff plus.

The Pens will not be an easy playoff out for any team, but I just don't think they will be able to compete with the Caps if the Caps keep playing their brand of hockey and don't tighten up. The Caps have been getting opponents' A-games from day 1 of the season, and all they have to show for it is by far the best record in the league.

The NHL's fan base is not exactly what you would call diverse, that's why it's not as big as the NFL or NBA
