The Arlington Fire Department was on scene for the report of a fire in the tunnel at Clarendon Metro Station. The fire was reportedly located between the Clarendon and Courthouse stations, the fire department wrote on Twitter.

Just before 11 a.m., firefighters wrote on Twitter that the fire had been extinguished.



Train service on the Orange and Silver lines between Rosslyn and Ballston remains suspended.

I just moved to this area, why is the DC Metro so awful? I've utilized transit systems across the world from NYC to Singapore, DC has proven to be the most unreliable in my experience.

dc metro was the BEST subway system 20 years ago.
with ZERO safety problems.


now 40years old, the next generation of workers is just there to do minimal work and soak up as much overtime as possible.
yes, just like in the Federal govt, there are some great hard working people.
but just like the fed govt, these workers are now in the minority.


it's like you starting a successful business.
you and your great workers retire.
the next generation doesn't care as much, if at all.
