Yes, sadly, I'm a smoker. Here in Alabama I pay less than $40 for a carton of Winston Light 100's. What's the cost of a carton of cigarettes in Northern Virginia these days without them being on sale or having a coupon?

I feel your pain for apologizing before you post. As a former 35+ year smoker, I planned my life around the tobacco. Flying? Stock up on nicorette gum. Connecting flight? Make sure there's room for a smoke break to get in and out of security....Carpooling somewhere? Who's a smoker?

To answer your question, Costco has the best prices in the area. Period. Your savings will pay for the membership.

(I didn't want to quit, I loved smoking. I was told I had to quit and was given an RX for Chantix. I really didn't want to quit. But what are you going to do when you get the nicotine out of your system? Take the easy way out. You'll be glad you did <lecture off>)
