I'm looking at living somewhere within Arlington, and commuting to my job in Falls Church. I realize Arlington is fairly large, so it's hard to estimate, but would someone mind giving me an approximate driving time I'll be facing each day? Some of the places I'm considering to rent are either near the Ballston metro stop or Pentagon City.

I have to start getting my mind around the fact that it's going to take me longer than I'm used to to get anywhere in Virginia!

Actually, I don't think it'll be bad, because you'll likely be going against rush hour traffic.

I'd say 20 mins would be a base estimate. It all depends on specifics of course.

Oh 20 minutes is better than what I've been doing... excellent!

It depends. It could take 10 minutes, or more than 30 minutes, depending upon the time of day, the exact location in Arlington, and whether "Falls Church" means the relatively small City of Falls Church or the much larger part of Fairfax County that is near Falls Church.

"Falls Church" means right in the small city of Falls Church... and I don't mind 30 minutes. I'm used to 40 minutes... so as long as it's in that ballpark I'm fine!
