Have any of you been finding what I think (from researching) are mealy bugs on your herbs and/or plants? I never had an issue before but first saw these chalk-white snowy looking bugs that leap! last year on a hibiscus that I bought from a local home improvement store chain (not sure I can say where) I treated it I thought. I overwintered the hibiscus in the house, didn't see it anymore, put the hibiscus back out when warm weather hit, and they/it are back and also have found it on my herbs
- googling it (I know I don't know how to properly), I found an old post that said it's from hibiscus and to report to the local agricultural authority. Normally, I would post in home and garden, but I'm wondering if this is something to be concerned about in NoVa. Thoughts?

The bugs sound like aphids, although I don't know if aphids jump. I had them on a houseplant and they were only on the underside of the leaves. I hope thats what it is because they are relatively easy to get rid of.

- googling it (I know I don't know how to properly), I found an old post that said it's from hibiscus and to report to the local agricultural authority. Normally, I would post in home and garden, but I'm wondering if this is something to be concerned about in NoVa. Thoughts?
