Whoa! With this project as well as Centennial Village, this whole area will be so exciting!

3 Floyds files plans for major expansion that would more than double its size

Here are the renderings of the expansion (source: NWI Times)

And how it currently looks with the most recent north-end expansion (source: NWI Times)

Nice, wish them luck. I like their beer, especially Zombie Dust, but it's expensive. ~$15 a six pack is really hard to justify.

The design looks great! I have been to Three Floyds a number of times over the years and really enjoy both the beer and the food.

I read the linked article and it noted they are also planning on adding over 280 parking spaces. Parking is a real limitation at the current site. Interestingly, the drawings do not who where the parking will be located.

Capitalize on the train station eventually coming in close by. Line the tracks with a walking trail with a Segway/Divvy style rental off the station to get there and to Centennial.

I love the fact that FFF is stepping up the outside appearance and space. It really makes sense with Centennial going in as well as it is. Should be a huge facelift for Munster to contend for that "lifestyle" feel people have been begging for in the area.

Is a station planned for nearby?

Yes, the South Shore is currently undergoing a major expansion with its West Lake Corridor project, adding 4 new stations in Hammond and Munster. One of these stations will be located at the Munster/Dyer border off of Columbia and Main, just south of Three Floyds.

I had to stare at those renderings a while to understand what they were actually doing. The new exapnsion is mostly on the lot south of their current facility and filling in the open L where the restaurant is currently as well as it looks like adding second floor pavilions over certain portions of the current original building. Also not immediately apparent is that the outdoor space is actually a one story tall man-made hill with building beneath.

Thanks! Yeah I've been following the expansion plans closely, I just didnt really know where this brewery/distillery is. I am not local but just have taken an interest in the region from afar.
