We will be arriving 7/25. Less than a week.

Anybody know about breaking leases if the job doesn't work out and we have to relocate?

Here if you have to relocate to another job/city, you can break a lease without hassles.

We have one of those employer contracts that say they can screw or sue me for breech of contract anytime, anywhere, and I agreed not to sue them or the school district for anything...

Most of these contracts between the recuiter and therapy company gives them a 30 day out in case they are able to fill the vacancy with a salaried person. Verbally, they assure me this is a 10 month deal only but I already know verbal contracts are not worth the paper they are written on..

They also say the only out the school district is 'for cause' per school district policies but they can allege anything without proof and I am toast unless I want to hire a lawyer and sue them which I agreed not to do. Catch 22.

Such is the nature of being a "temporary employee" you have to be willing to accept being temporary.

Hence, I need some flexibility with housing. Month to month or able to break a 10 month lease. If they give me the boot.

Dale

Other than military I don't think you can break a lease, unless you have a clause inserted dealing with job loss.
