Hello, I'm a college student and I'm doing a research on the Honolulu city,
I'm looking for statistics (raw data) on the age of the population as well as their sex (male, female)
I don't really know how to say it since my english is not very good but I don't need a single data I need the complete distribution of data, to use with microsoft excel and make a graphic showing the relation between age and sex. Don't know if anyone understands..
If someone knows a good website for statistics on the population i'd like to know because i'm not finding any complete statistics database..
As to how sex relates to the population of Honolulu, the answer would probably be either "yes" or "no" - or perhaps "free" or "has to pay for". For the purposes of your research, I think it is their gender that you should be inquiring about. You can not get accurate results without accurate data and naming it properly is part of that accuracy.
You are looking for correlation data, how age is affected by sex, background, etc? I agree with whynot?'s response. Use Honolulu County, Hawaii QuickLinks from the US Census Bureau, which would have the most accurate data performed by the Government. The next US Census would take place I believe in another 10 years. The 2010 census would hopefully work out for you. I would not rely on Wikipedia.
