I have about 3 grand on the side for a vacation and I want to just get away.. maybe see some historic things.. enjoy the weather, enjoy things. I just need to get away for a week.
Anyhow, where in Hawaii should I go? Honolulu right?
I'm single and I'm going alone. I would like to go to a nightclub maybe, I'd love to see great scenery, walk around, relax, just hang out. Maybe see some historical things. I'd like to walk around and explore as well.
I don't drive, so which airport should I go to where I can take either transit or walk to see snow, explore, see historical things..?
Thanks.
If you are single, want to go to niteclubs, and can't drive - go to Honolulu. Stay in Waikiki - start with this site for things to do when you aren't on the beach.
Yup, if you don't drive, then that pretty much limits it to Oahu. Waikiki is very urban yet has lots of scenery and things to do as well as the beach is right there. You can walk everywhere and the buses on Oahu are very good. So far, TheBus is about the only public transportation but a lot of the tour companies will pick you up from your hotel in Waikiki and take you on day trips.
Another option would be a bed & breakfast somewhere else on the island of Oahu. Perhaps in Kailua or North Shore. Check the bus schedule before booking your B & B, though to see if you'd have adequate transportation.
