I was curious if someone here could tell me what local sports teams are affiliated with someone who lives in Hawai'i. I am aware that the new Lakers networks will be broadcast to all of Hawai'i, but what about football and baseball? What are the local teams that are covered under this area? If I had to take a guess I would assume that the LA market for teams, also falls under the local market for teams in Hawai'i. Can anyone confirm what the local sports teams are for baseball, basketball, football?

Well, since no one has answered I'll give it a shot...
The short answer is "none."
Most people in Hawaii don't pay much attention to professional sports. The main focus is on college sports, primarily UH. People also pay attention to high school football-- the games are even televised.

Because of the time difference, professional sporting events are on TV at weird times, like mornings. But I think the main reason for the lack of interest is that Hawaii doesn't have any professional teams and people in Hawaii don't feel an affiliation with Mainland teams. People do seem to watch the Super Bowl, though...

Well - I didn't answer since it seems directed to DirectTV - and I don't think they are very popular in Hawaii (they offer a subset of channels that you can get on the mainland).

If you have Oceanic - there is the standard sports channels you get on the mainland - in addition, there is a regional Fox Sports West that picks up the LA area teams. That is the best I can answer you.
