There is also Black Point. Nice gated community on the ocean front near Diamond Head. Dunno if there's any homes for sale in that area right now, but it's a nice community.
If they are looking for prices in this price range they should be working with a Realtor to answer these questions and not have the nephew posting on a bulletin board.

While realtors are fine, nothing compares with opinions of the people that live there and know the area and have no financial stake in the matter. The information you guys gave him is really helpful. It can be a bit scary to trust a realtor.
