Those numbers assume they are paying for childcare, a lot of kids are taken care of by extended family. They also factor in health care as the same amount as rent. Where are all these healthcare costs coming from? I don't know of anyone who is paying the same for healthcare as they are for rent. These are BS numbers.

Excellent point, due to the Hawaii health care law, in which the employer pays the bulk of the cost (and as a consequence, is one of the reasons why pay is generally lower in Hawaii).
