You said people move back to LA/mainland because they get tired of driving around in circles. In the "world" I live in, that's absurd. The overwhelming majority of people that move back to the mainland (or to the mainland in the first place) don't even put that in their top five as reasons for moving.

Driving in circles is a figure of speech haha, but the feeling of being stuck on an island is very real for people from the mainland.

Yes. Agreed. The prospects of being stuck on an island are horrifying. Luckily planes are quite reliable.

Yes the prospects of being stuck on an island are horrifying and planes are quite reliable but costly every time you want to get off the island.
