I checked the NOAA site and the weather looks pretty good. Our side may.... possibly..... get rain.

We were on the beach Christmas morning last year. Bittersweet. Christmas night we were on a plane to Atlanta and kissed Hawaii goodbye.

Looks like rain on late Sunday into Monday. Trade winds return Tuesday through Thanksgiving.

The BIG picture

GOES West - Northeast Pacific Water Vapor Imagery Loop (Flash) - Satellite Services Division/Office of Satellite Data Processing and Distribution

Tradewinds light and variable, with some showers, mainly mauka and windward in the early morning. Winds out of the NE, five to fifteen miles per hour, with occasional gusts to 150 mph. (couldn't resist)

Aloha from Waikiki!

The weather was perfect Saturday and Sunday. Today, It was raining and cloudy at Kailua ranch. I did a hike, snorkel and kayak tour. The winds were intense for kayaking.

Anywho! Any Oahu residents know where I can buy butter avocados?? Also, would I be available to bring one back to nyc?

You should be able to get avocados at any supermarket.

You cannot bring fruits, vegetables, or plants back to NY. Your luggage and carry on will be screened specifically for those items.

. . .plus parking . . .if you can find it anywhere near where you want to be . . .friends from Windward prefer to take the bus to the Stinky Side because the stops are usually closer to where they're going than anyplace they can park . . .
