State capitol has a lot of open grounds. Would be wonderful if the less fortunate would be able to camp out there. Raise the excise tax, property tax, hotel tax. Whatever it takes to help the down and out-ITS ONLY FAIR!

They are already camped out in the library during the day.

It seems to me that part of the homeless problem is just the amount of "stuff" they keep around. If there was some way to provide them with the stuff they need on a daily basis without them having to lug it around, it would let them blend into the neighborhoods better. Maybe instead of putting them up in individual houses, give them a 4' x 4' x 8' locked storage closet, access to showers and bathing facilities, a laundry area and maybe some minor cooking facilities, too. Sleeping tubes like they have in Japanese train stations or like that hotel in Mexico which has round sleeping tubes made from concrete storm drains. Then they'd have a "home" without the walls and it would be less expensive and take up less space.
