WOW, I really must be in the matrix cuz last * I * checked, you actually CAN commit to a boyfriend (or girlfriend) in ways such as living together, equally sharing/signing a rental lease, having a child together, and even naming each other as life insurance beneficiaries… oh and there's also not sleeping with anyone else.
This new concept is actually quite successful and even among the highest form of commitment for homosexual couples whose state doesn't support gay marriage.

Yes, women no longer have to save their virginity to be sold away to the highest bidder for a dower. Its a good thing your health issuance covers therapy cuz you may definitely end up needing some relationship counseling if this is how you view relationships.

It does take news a bit longer to reach Hawaii - but same sex marriage has been legal nationwide since June 26, 2015

You need to live in a newly constructed building and even that's no guarantee. In townhomes and apartments, it doesn't matter what steps YOU take, if your neighbors are less than conscientious the bugs will migrate to your side eventually.

If getting robbed at gunpoint is less frightening than seeing a cockroach, just wait until you see a centipede with a B52 escort.

Lots a luck

Every house/apartment is going to have roaches -- some more some less. My dad and husband are in construction -- when they are building houses/condos, they just close the roaches up in the walls, the roaches are there from the beginning. I used to be terrified of roaches too -- I moved here from Minnesota, never had roaches in any house I lived in up there. I'm still terrified of the B52s but the smaller ones are not so scary now. Whenever I see a roach, I spray it with cleaning spray and then dispose of it in a paper towel in the trash. I have to keep telling myself that roaches are normal here, everyone has them and it doesn't mean that we are nasty housekeepers, the roaches just want a nice place to live too. Maybe after you've been here longer you'll get used to it. But if you can never get used to it, you should probably move somewhere else because the roaches aren't leaving Hawaii.
