We are going to Hawaii for the first time in Oct. for 3 weeks, my wife will be checking out a job opportunity there. So I get to take care of the baby, besides the beach, is there anything I can do near Haleiwa that is baby-friendly for just the 2 of us during the day? We'll be staying with friends there and I would like to get as much of the culture in as I can around helping my wife and friends with whatever they need. Evenings I'm sure they will be able to find things for all of us to do together.

Haleiwa is a really small town - largely a tourist stop on the way around the island. You will find art galleries, surf shops, eateries, beaches and not much else. Here's a link for more exploring:

Thanks, the brocures and calendar on that site were very helpful! Now I just need to find a daycare so I can take my surfing lessons
