I´m a Spanih man, 34 years old, In a few weeks I´ll go to Honolulu to study english. I´ll be on Waikiki, and I would like to know about interesting places, what to do, etc.
If you could write me some information it wold be great. I prefer not tipical tourist places.

Thanks in advanced!

Do you have a way to get away from Waikiki (car or group tours)? Here are some ideas in and around Waikiki:

See the free hula on Waikiki (near Duke's statue) at sunset any night of the week.

Sip mai tais and relax to live music at Duke's or House without a Key.

Go to Kapiolani park and just hang out. There will be local folks there picnicking, playing, having fun.

Take bus #22 to Diamond Head and do the hike. (Do this early in the day!)

Take bus #22 to Hanauma bay, and go snorkeling.

Take a bus or walk to Chinatown, and explore that neighborhood.

Eat lau-lau at Ono's (not too far from Waikiki).

It's been a while since I've been here...but one of my favorite "low-key" things to do in HNL is to stop at Fort Ruger Market to pick up a few treats, then head to a beach nearby for lunch! If you've never been there, check out the map:

Fort Ruger Market - Honolulu, HI 96816 | Metromix Honolulu
