There are to many people in Hawaii and something needs to be done. To many cars, homes, water usages. I noticed the mountains ain't as green as they use to be. Carbon-monoxide is killing this beautiful place. When there is no wind and you are looking down from Mililani you can see the smog hovering over Honolulu. People are sucking it up and don't even realize it. With the Pacific ocean surrounding the isles they have a fresh-water water-park in Kapolei. The Hawaiians have the best seat in town. Although their lands were stolen, they can now watch greed at work.
Unbelievable!!

On the Big Island, one rarely gets a full view of the peaks of either Mauna Loa or Mauna Kea anymore.
But, you cannot blame people and cars! It's the VOG, which is spewing out at a rate of 10x what it was a couple years ago. The VOG also makes its' way all the way to Oahu. All of the islands are affected by VOG.
Until June 30th's collapse in the vent, the average daily rate was around 1200 tonnes per day. It is currently around 200-400 tonnes per day, still several times the 2003-07 average of 140.
