Does anyone know any veterinarians, preferable in Leeward or Central Oahu, who is reasonably priced, who are good yet doesn't charge an arm and a leg for simple things like vaccine shots?

The clinic I take my dog to currently is good but I think I'm getting charged a lot and with procedures I think are unnecessary. My total bill for a annual checkup exam with some shots was around $200

We just got a new poodle puppy and were wondering if any of you out there can recommend a good vet who is good yet has reasonable prices.

$200 for an annual Checkup with shots isn't expensive. Normally there is testing done for heart worm and a stool check at the same time.

The question I have to ask is, if you're complaining about Vet costs then why get another dog?

Blue cross animal hospital down by Ala Moana shopping center is pretty good.

We live on another island and we get dog shots from the feed store. It is about seven dollars per shot. It's pretty easy to give puppies shots, especially if you get the narrower gauge needles, they don't even feel it. Little tails stay wagging through the whole thing.

We go to Mililani Mauka Vet Clinic - which is Central Oahu.

Very happy with Dr. Furutani. Not sure how prices compare to other places, but she is great with our dog.

We got to VCA in Pearl City - but ONLY see Dr. Kwock. Some people say it's too expensive - but her caring demeanor and attention to detail are worth every penny to me. I really believe it's important to have a vet you truly trust, and who appreciates you and your pet as customers, so a little extra cash is worth it to me if that's what I get in return.
