We have a 2 week break from school here on Kaua'i so taking my girls over to Oahu for 4 days and 3 nights. Staying at the Royal Hawaiian in Waikiki, hope it is nice. Open for things to do with them that is nearby so far we have on our list is the Zoo, Aquarium and Wet N' Wild. Craving some good restaurants and food something our Island surely lacks. So any suggestions for good places near our hotel is appreciated. And any more activities to do would help as well.

They might enjoy the Oceanarium Restaurant at the Pacific Beach Hotel (close to the Royal):
Oceanarium Restaurant, Honolulu - Restaurant Reviews - TripAdvisor
Also the Pagoda Floating Restaurant at Koi Feeding time (8AM, 12PM, 6PM). The buffet is good. Not really near the Royal(about two miles), but worth the trip.
Pagoda Hotel
See the free hula show by Duke Kahanamoku's statue (each evening) (close to the Royal).

The Ala Moana Shopping Center is walking distance from the Pagoda.

There are lots of new eating places in/around the RH now that the shopping center has really re-opened. We went to an interesting regional Japanese restaurant called Chiba with a friend from Oahu. It's kind of a crepe-based cuisine cooked on a teppan in front of you. (Similar method, but very different dishes from typical teppanyaki.)
We always enjoy the sunset hula at The House Without a Key at the Halekulani (also near the RH), and we think Kaiwa is by far the best restaurant on the Waikiki Beach Walk.
Enjoy!
