Will I hear any Turnpike noise living in the Swallowtail Villas in The Village of Hammock at Fenney ?
This is just south of 466A.

A friend of mine did not buy a lot because of noise from a golf course. They went out and sat on the lot several times during the day to test the noise. Suggest you do the same.

I wouldn't choose to live on Hickey Way, that street is the closest and runs parallel to the Turnpike.

The rest is far enough that you'd probably just hear a low hum in the background - the gas golf carts driving on the road you actually live on would be louder.

You are much closer to Hwy 301 than the Turnpike.

I doubt there would be more noise from the Turnpike, but not worse than any other downtown road. For example, I live within a mile of Hwy 200 in Ocala, FL and I don't hear any appreciable, excess noise considering it is one of the busiest corridors here.

The specific neighborhood in question has one street that runs along side the highway, with a barrier the width of maybe three houses back-to-back.

On THAT street, they're likely to hear background highway traffic noise, but it'd be buffered and be mostly just 'white noise'.

As they say when making any purchase, pay a visit at different times of day if you can. What looks or sounds good at 1:00pm may not look or sound the same during rush hour or later in the day.

I live in Fenney. I usually hear no noise whatsoever. However, when the temperatures are cooler and the wind is blowing from the east, I do hear the hum of traffic. It's not annoying to me at all.

I guess traffic doesn't know the lyrics of the song and hums it instead.
