Im currently in south florida coral springs area and i want to move up to northern/central florida and im hearing some good things about the ocala area . I want to know a little about the crime, demographics as this is one of the main reasons for leaving south florida and of course PRICES as it is nearly impossible to survive down here on a single income any info pictures or suggestions that would help me in my decision and/or move would be grately appreciated also i work in the veterinary field and also wondering how the job market for that is?

We have more Vet Clinics here than you can shake a stick at! Many Equine Vets too.
Housing is starting to drop in price a bit, rentals are plentiful. Crime is all over, but since I hardly watch local news I can not tell you much about that, other than what you might find in the local news paper "Ocala.com".
You can also check out the careerbuilder web site for jobs in your field that are located in or around the area (if you have not already done that)
Ocala has some beautiful rural areas full of Cattle and Horses (I posted a few pics in other threads here).

Inverness is a small town just 20 minutes south of Ocala. We have many vets as well. there's a lot for kids to do around this small town. Bowling, roller skating, movies, oval car racing on Saturday nights, 7 chain lake for water sports and activities, small town but everything you need within a 5 mile drive in either direction.

Ocala is nice. There is lots of green areas too, less crime than south FL.English . I know! That will be a major culture shock for you, comparing it to south Florida where Spanish and Creole are the official languages.
