I currently live in Northern Kentucky and looking to relocate into the county. I am looking into Canfield but know no one to talk with and gather information.

If anyone would be interested in helping out, please let me know.

Thank You.

Yes, Northen KY is getting old and I want to move closer to family and friends I have up that way.

So far the candidates are Canfield and Austintown. I have a contact inAustontown but none in Canfield.

I did catch the post about Lima/Canfield/Columbiana and that was educational. I'm hoping to fine tune the information.

I work in the Poland/Boardman/Springfield Twp. area. I don't care much for Austintown or Boardman in general. If you're picking Mahoning County i would stick to Poland, Canfield, or the rural areas. Where does your family live? Do you have a job (important!)? and how much are you looking to spend on housing?

We currently live in a small town called Sanders, KY. I plan on looking for something out there here soon but plan to move around tax time. I currently work as a Cable CSR with a bg in technical support.

Looking to rent atm, a 3br house or *shudders* trailer.

I'm not sure there are houses to rent in that area, but maybe??? SRF would know best, he lives a little closer to that area than I do. If you're looking to rent Austintown or Boardman might be easier.

You would be surprised at how many house rentals there are in Canfield. You won't find a single trailer though.

Armstrong cable is our local cable company. They have an office in Boardman that is close to Western Reserve Rd. and Market Street. Roughly 5 miles from Canfield.

I have no use for Austintown, or Boardman, and would never recommend them to anybody.

See, you knew you would have some good input, SRF. I had no idea there were many home rentals in Canfield..........

This will give you an idea of the difference between Canfield, Austintown, and Boardman. TownCrierOnline.com | Community news from Boardman, Canfield, Austintown and Poland, Ohio

Click on blotters, pick a town, and then click on full story. It will tell you all of the police calls for that date.

Keep in mind that these townships are 5 miles square, and all border each other.

Wow! Just pulled up Austintown and Canfields police listings and most of the Canfields were traffic stops and Atown was a gambit of things. Bordman was LOADED with arrests and related info.
